Back for 2023 the Kentish Killer! Now organised by Flamme Rouge Events who also organise the Hell of The Ashdown, KK 2023 offers a choice of two fantastic routes – the ever popular, super-tough, 70 mile route and a (slightly!) less tough 45 mile route. Get your climbing legs ready!
This event has been popular with Team De Ver, our riders having taken part for the last 10 years. A number of members have already registered for this event so there should be good representation and a good atmosphere.
Organisation moved from GS Avanti to Flamme Rouge Events after COVID lockdowns caused 2020/2021 events to be cancelled, but the format and route remains the same and the event has maintained a link with charity Kent Air Ambulance. Climbs include Bates Hill, Carter’s Hill, Hubbards Hill, Fordcombe Hill, Ide Hill, Sundridge Hill, Row Dow, Tinker Pot Lane.
The registration/start is at Brands Hatch motor racing circuit, nearest train station is Eynsford which is on the Thameslink line (Denmark Hill, Peckham Rye). Some members may drive so watch the WhatsApp group for messages if you need a lift.
Cost: £40 advance / £45 on the day (subject to availability) / Registration via British Cycling website. Note this is a very popular event and online registration is now closed. It is recommended you contact the organisers in advance to check if there will be places available on the day.
Route can be downloaded on the Kentish Killer website or accessed here as Garmin routes – KK2023 Long or KK2023 Short
